BEDFORD, November 4 – The day after a tense Election Day ended his hard-fought campaign, Legislator-elect Francis Corcoran (R-Bedford) is celebrating his election victory with friends, family, constituents and volunteers, and says he looks forward to a fruitful upcoming session with the new, more Republican Legislature.
With all election districts reporting, unofficial returns show Corcoran leading his opponent, Village Trustee Karen Schleimer (D-Mount Kisco), with 53 percent of the vote to Schleimer’s 47 percent.Read more
BEDFORD, October 28 – In the highest-profile endorsement to date in the race for County Legislator in District 2, Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino has thrown his support behind the candidacy of Francis Corcoran.
In a statement, Astorino said, “Francis is from Northern Westchester, has served the citizens of Northern Westchester for 12 years and understands the important issues facing the people of Northern Westchester. We need a man like Francis Corcoran in White Plains fighting for us every day.”Read more
BEDFORD, October 28 – Former Mount Kisco Mayor Patricia Reilly has given her endorsement to Francis Corcoran for County Legislator representing District 2.
In an open letter to Mount Kisco residents, Mayor Reilly said, “I have known Francis Corcoran for many years, and he is one of the hardest working and most dedicated public servants I have come to know and work with during my own long career of serving the public. In his 12 years as Bedford Town Councilman he has fought hard to keep taxes low, protect their Triple AAA bond rating, keep within the tax cap, and promote smart development and be a true steward and custodian of open space and the local environment.”Read more

BEDFORD, October 27 – State Senator Terrence Murphy (R-Yorktown) has endorsed Bedford Councilman Francis Corcoran (R,C,Ref) to be the next County Legislator for Westchester’s 2nd District.
Senator Murphy praised Councilman Corcoran’s record on tax and budget issues, saying, “As a former Town Councilman for Yorktown I know how hard it is to keep taxes low and maintain services. Francis Corcoran has been doing that in the Town of Bedford for 12 years.”Read more
